Summer Fun

We've spent a LOT of time outside this summer. This has been due to the fact that we love to be outside and we've only had one rainy day since the beginning of July!! Of course that also means that now the grass is dead and the flowers and trees are headed that way. It is SO dry here. Literally, all we've had is a quick rain shower here and there for almost 2 months now. We spend a lot of time outside with our neighbors Jeff and Michelle and their daughter Sela who is just a few weeks younger than Chloe. It's been fun to watch the 3 girls play and grow all summer. They love popsicles, chalk, picking flowers, riding bikes, the playhouse and just dancing around being girls! We also had a wonderful visit in July from Grammy Liz and Grampy Bud! The girls had a BLAST while they were here. We played outside even though it was very hot and humid. The grandparents were good sports!! Grammy Liz took lots of wondeful pictures. The girls dressed up, played shopping, picked flowers, shucked corn, did art projects, we went out to dinner and ice cream, watched shows, read books and Grammy Liz was even sport enough to pretend to be Rylie's dance teacher! We all had lots of fun and shared many laughs. After the kids went to bed, we taught Liz and Bud how to bowl on the PlayStation, which was fun, too. Hopefully they'll be able to visit us again soon when it's not quite so hot out!
